President & Owner

Adam Zopfi

With over 40 years of experience in the green industry, Adam is the driving force behind Midwest Nursery. He began his journey at Midwest Landscapes at just 22 years old, working his way up through dedication and hard work. In 2001, he took ownership of the company, and in 2022, he launched Midwest Nursery as a standalone operation—separating it from the landscape division to focus solely on tree sourcing and growing. Adam’s deep-rooted passion for trees, soil, and farm life continues to shape the heart and mission of Midwest Nursery.

Shop Manager

Steve Lahn

Steve has been apart of the Midwest Nursery team for over 5 years. He brings an extensive experience in farming, welding and machinery. Steve can fix just about anything and if you leave him in the shop, you never know what new tool or piece of equipment he will create! 

Nursery Manager

Aaron Muelhbauer

Aaron’s passion for trees began early—planting his first acorn as a child—and has only grown stronger over the past 25 years. Since then, he’s dedicated his career to nurturing that love for the land at Midwest Nursery. Today, Aaron oversees field production, inventory, and sales, ensuring every tree is grown with care and every customer gets exactly what they need. His deep knowledge and hands-on experience are vital to the success and sustainability of our operation.

Nursery Foreman

Miguel Barcenas 

With an extensive background in farming, landscaping, and irrigation, Miguel oversees our field crew at Midwest Nursery during the growing season.  He has been with Midwest for over 20 years.
